Litauen, officially known as the Republic of Lithuania, is a sovereign state in Northern Europe, bordered by Latvia to the north, Belarus to the east, Poland to the south, and the Baltic Sea to the west. It is the largest of the three Baltic states and has a rich history spanning over a thousand years.
