Lipidrik

In Scandinavian languages, lipidrik combines lipid with rik, meaning rich, and is used as an adjective to express lipid richness. It is not part of formal international nomenclature; in English, the more common descriptor is lipid-rich.

The term can apply to foods and biological materials. Lipidrik foods include oils, fats, nuts, seeds, dairy products, and fatty fish, where lipids constitute a major portion of dry weight and contribute significantly to energy density. In biology, tissues such as adipose tissue or cells containing lipid droplets are described as lipidrik, reflecting their high lipid fraction.
