Linjäriteten
Linjäriteten is a fundamental concept in mathematics and physics, particularly in the study of linear systems. A system or function is considered linear if it satisfies two key properties: additivity and homogeneity. Additivity means that the response of the system to the sum of two inputs is equal to the sum of the responses to each input individually. Mathematically, if L represents a linear operator, then L(x + y) = L(x) + L(y) for any inputs x and y. Homogeneity, also known as scalar multiplication, implies that scaling an input by a constant factor scales the output by the same factor. This can be expressed as L(ax) = aL(x) for any scalar 'a' and input x.
These two properties, when satisfied together, are known as the superposition principle. Linear systems are highly
