Lineardünen
Lineardünen, also known as longitudinal dunes, are a type of sand dune characterized by their elongated, often sinuous shape that runs parallel to the prevailing wind direction. Unlike barchan dunes, which are crescent-shaped and point into the wind, linear dunes form in areas where winds are directional but may not be strong enough to create a constant supply of sand from all directions. They are typically found in desert environments with sparse vegetation cover.
The formation of linear dunes is believed to be a result of a complex interaction of wind
Linear dunes are commonly observed in large dune fields, such as those found in the Sahara Desert,
