Lindea

Lindea is a genus of fungi belonging to the family Omphalotaceae. This genus was first described in 2019 by mycologists Jian-Chu He, Er-Guo Li, and Zhong-Li Xu. The type species for the genus is Lindea brunneoflava.

Species within the Lindea genus are characterized by their small to medium-sized fruiting bodies. They typically possess a convex to plane cap, often with a slightly umbonate center. The gills are usually adnate or decurrent, and the stipe is often slender. The color of the fruiting bodies can vary, but often includes shades of brown, yellow, or orange. Microscopically, Lindea species are identified by features such as their spore shape and ornamentation, and the structure of their hyphal systems.

The genus Lindea is found in temperate and tropical regions. Its members are saprobic, meaning they obtain nutrients by decomposing organic matter, often found on wood or leaf litter.
