Liimapistoolien is a Finnish brand of adhesive notes that has become a staple in office and home environments across Finland and in selected European markets. The name derives from the Finnish words for “sticky” (liima) and “note” (pistol), and the product line is marketed under the stylized brand name Liimapistoolien. The company behind the brand is a subsidiary of the global adhesive packaging company Korato Ltd., which has maintained a local manufacturing presence in Helsinki since 2012.

The product was launched in 2013 as a response to an increasing demand for environmentally friendly stationery. Each note is made from 100 % post‑consumer recycled paper and a biodegradable adhesive that allows for temporary attachment without damaging surfaces. The catalog includes various colours—yellow, pink, blue, and green—as well as different shapes and sizes, ranging from compact 25 mm notes to larger 60 mm square sheets. Packaging is printed with soy‑based inks to reduce the ecological footprint. In 2016, the brand introduced a new line of “smart” notes that are printable with carbon‑less ink, a feature marketed to educational institutions.

Sales channels for Liimapistoolien are diversified. The product is sold through institutional procurement programmes for schools, universities, and public offices, as well as through retail convenience stores, online marketplaces, and corporate gifting partners. By 2020, the brand captured approximately 18 % of the domestic Finnish adhesive note market, surpassing competitors such as Post‑it and Rite‑As‑Red. The company has also entered limited distribution agreements in Sweden and Norway.

In addition to its commercial activities, Liimapistoolien has participated in several sustainability initiatives. The firm sponsors annual recycling drives in Kallio district and collaborates with the Finnish Ministry of Education on school waste reduction programmes. The brand’s commitment to minimal environmental impact has earned local media recognition, positioning Liimapistoolien as a green alternative in the stationery sector.
