Lihovia

Lihovia, officially the Republic of Lihovia, is a small coastal nation on the eastern edge of the continent of Solara. It covers about 28,000 square kilometers and has a population of roughly 3.2 million. The capital is Teraval, and the country features a mix of low hills, fertile plains, and a long coastline.

Lihovia's modern state emerged in the mid-19th century after the Union of the Coastal Territories united several autonomous regions. It gained independence from long-standing crowns in 1849. The 20th century saw urbanization, constitutional reforms, and periodic political turnover, with gradual integration into regional trade networks.

Lihovia is a parliamentary republic with a president as head of state and a prime minister as head of government. The unicameral legislature is elected by proportional representation, and judicial independence is guaranteed by a constitution adopted in 1982.

The economy is mixed, with services representing the largest share of GDP. Agriculture remains important, notably olive oil and wine production. The industrial sector is dominated by light manufacturing and fisheries, while hydropower and solar energy contribute to domestic supply. Trade is diversified across regional partners.

Lihovians are ethnically diverse, reflecting centuries of settlement and migration. The official language is Lihovian, with minority languages also spoken. Cultural life centers on regional festivals, culinary traditions, and a strong maritime heritage. Public institutions emphasize education, healthcare, and social welfare as pillars of development.
