Levyjämmönvaihtimissa

Levyjämmönvaihdin is a Finnish term referring to a plate heat exchanger. This type of heat exchanger is a device designed to efficiently transfer heat between two fluids. Instead of using tubes, a plate heat exchanger consists of a series of thin, corrugated metal plates stacked together. These plates create a large surface area for heat transfer in a compact volume.

The fluids flow in alternating channels between the plates. One fluid passes through one set of channels, and the other fluid passes through the adjacent set. The corrugated pattern of the plates enhances turbulence, which in turn increases the efficiency of heat transfer.
