Leválasztása

Leválasztása is a Hungarian term that denotes the act or process of separating or detaching one entity from another. It is formed from the verb leválasztani, meaning to detach or to separate, and is used to refer to the act itself or to the detachment of a specific item. In many contexts, the shorter noun leválasztás is used, while leválasztása emphasizes “its detachment” or “the detachment of it.”

In science and engineering, leválasztás describes the separation of components within a mixture or system. It includes chemical separation methods such as extraction, distillation, and crystallization; mechanical separation such as filtration, centrifugation, or sieving; and phase separation phenomena in emulsions or multiphase systems. In electrical engineering and information technology, leválasztás can refer to isolation or disconnection between subsystems to improve safety, reduce interference, or enable independent operation (often described as galvanic isolation in practice).

In biology and medicine, leválasztás may denote the isolation of cells, tissues, or organisms from a surrounding medium or from other components. In everyday language it can also mean disengagement or severing ties, such as withdrawing support, leaving a relationship, or ending a dependency.
