Leuk

Leuk is a municipality in the canton of Valais in southern Switzerland. It is part of the district of Raron and is situated in the Rhone valley, north of Brig and near Visp. The municipality consists of the village of Leuk and several smaller hamlets. The landscape is characteristic of the Valais region, with vineyards along the valley floor, mixed forested hills and views of the surrounding alpine peaks. The elevation ranges roughly from 500 to 800 meters above sea level.
