Letharb is a small, independent nation located on the southern coast of the fictional continent of Amaris. It occupies a narrow peninsula bounded by the western sea to the west and the Sapphire Mountains to the south, with a temperate climate that supports mixed forest and coastal agriculture. The capital city, Lethra, sits on the western shoreline and serves as the political and economic hub of the country. The nation's population of approximately 350,000 people is diverse, with ethnic groups including the Letharian natives, a significant mix of migrant traders from the northern kingdoms, and a small community of descendants of early European settlers.

Letharb was founded in the early 13th century after a series of coastal raids prompted the establishment of a fortified settlement by the Letharian people. Over the centuries, the country expanded through trade and diplomacy, eventually forming a constitutional monarchy in the 18th century. The constitution, adopted in 1792, delineates a parliamentary system with a bicameral legislature and a ceremonial monarch known as the High King.
