Lechfeld
Lechfeld is a geographical and historical region in Bavaria, Germany, located south of Augsburg. It is situated on the Lech river, a tributary of the Danube, and is characterized by its sandy, gravelly soil, a result of glacial deposits. The region has been significant throughout history, most notably as the site of a decisive battle in 955 AD.
