Lattialämmittimet
Lattialämmittimet, commonly known as underfloor heating systems, are a form of central heating where a controlled heating element is installed beneath the finished floor surface. This method distributes heat upward into the room, providing a comfortable and even temperature. The most common types are electric and hydronic (water-based) systems. Electric systems utilize heating cables or mats embedded in a thin layer of concrete or self-leveling compound. Hydronic systems use a network of pipes through which hot water circulates, typically powered by a boiler or heat pump. Lattialämmitys is appreciated for its aesthetic invisibility, as there are no visible radiators or vents, and its ability to create a pleasant, warm floor underfoot, especially in bathrooms and kitchens. The installation process usually involves laying the heating elements or pipes during the construction or renovation phase. While initial installation costs can be higher than traditional heating methods, the operating costs can be comparable or even lower due to the efficiency of heat distribution. Control is typically managed by thermostats, allowing for precise temperature regulation in individual rooms. The even heat distribution helps to reduce air stratification, leading to a more comfortable living environment.
