Latinlettered is an adjective used to describe writing systems, texts, fonts, or branding that employ the Latin alphabet. It denotes content written with Latin letters as opposed to other scripts such as Cyrillic, Arabic, Devanagari, or Han. The term is common in linguistic descriptions, cataloging, and typography, where a distinction between Latin-lettered and non-Latin-script materials helps organize information and resources.

In practice, Latinlettered sources may include languages that use the basic 26-letter Latin alphabet or extended Latin alphabets with diacritics and additional letters. English, Spanish, French, and Turkish, for example, use Latin letters with various diacritics or modifications. Some languages such as Vietnamese use Latin letters with a full system of diacritics and tone marks. The property emphasizes the script rather than the language’s phonology.

In typography and digital encoding, Latinlettered fonts or text are those drawn from the Latin script’s repertoire; they are often included in Unicode blocks labeled Latin, Western, or Latin Extended.
