Lateraalikammiot
Lateraalikammiot are a pair of fluid-filled cavities located within each cerebral hemisphere of the brain. These structures are part of the ventricular system, which is responsible for producing, circulating, and reabsorbing cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). Each lateral ventricle has a complex shape, often described as having a central body and three horns: an anterior horn, a posterior horn, and an inferior horn. The anterior horn extends forward into the frontal lobe, the posterior horn curves backward into the occipital lobe, and the inferior horn descends into the temporal lobe.
The lateral ventricles are lined by ependymal cells and contain a choroid plexus, a network of capillaries
