Larsbreen
Larsbreen is a glacier located in Oscar II Land on the west coast of Spitsbergen, an island in the Svalbard archipelago. The glacier flows in a generally southwest direction and its terminus is situated on the west side of the island, emptying into the Forlandsundet strait. Larsbreen is a tidewater glacier, meaning its ice front reaches the sea, and calying of icebergs is a common occurrence.
The glacier is named after Lars M. Henriksen, a Norwegian geologist who conducted surveys in the Svalbard
The surrounding landscape is characterized by mountainous terrain and a barren, Arctic environment. Access to Larsbreen
