Lanseran

Lanseran is a fictional town and municipality in the coastal nation of Verdania. It lies on a natural harbor along the southern coast and serves as the administrative center of Lanseran Province.

Historically, Lanseran grew from a 16th-century fishing hamlet into a market town linked by road and rail to larger cities. Its economy today blends fishing and seafood processing with light manufacturing and services. The local government operates a mayor-council system with eight councilors.

As of 2021, the population is about 12,600. The town covers a modest urban area with a waterfront district and residential neighborhoods.

Notable landmarks include Lanseran Lighthouse, the Old Market Square, and the Maritime Museum. The town hosts annual events such as the Oyster Festival in late summer and the Lantern Light festival in autumn.

Lanseran is connected by a coastal road network and a regional railway; ferry service links to nearby islets. Education is provided by two primary schools and a secondary school, along with a small technical institute.
