Langmuirfilmtechnikákkal
Langmuir films are a type of thin film formed at an air-water interface. They are created by spreading a material, typically a surfactant or amphiphilic molecule, onto the surface of a liquid, usually water. The molecules in the Langmuir film orient themselves at the interface, with their hydrophilic (water-attracting) parts immersed in the water and their hydrophobic (water-repelling) parts extending into the air. This self-assembly process results in a monolayer of molecules.
The properties of a Langmuir film are influenced by factors such as the chemical structure of the
Langmuir films are often transferred onto solid substrates using a process called the Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique.
