Laminääristä
Laminääristä refers to a state of fluid flow where the fluid moves in smooth, parallel layers with no significant mixing between them. This type of flow, also known as laminar flow, is characterized by low Reynolds numbers, indicating that viscous forces dominate over inertial forces. In laminar flow, fluid particles follow well-defined paths, and the velocity profile across the flow is typically parabolic. Examples of laminar flow include the slow movement of honey, the flow of blood in capillaries, or the gentle flow of water in a narrow pipe.
The transition from laminar flow to a more chaotic state called turbulent flow occurs when the Reynolds
