Lahter
Lahter is a small borough situated in central Estonia, within Põltsamaa Parish of Jõgeva County. The settlement lies roughly thirty kilometres east of Tartu, on the edge of the expansive Jõelähtme plain. Historically, Lahter evolved from a modest agricultural community that developed around a locally significant manor house first recorded in the early 17th century. The manor, now a ruin, once served as the administrative centre for surrounding estates and remains a notable feature for local heritage tours.
