Laattoikoko
Laattoikoko is the Finnish term for tile size, referring to the physical dimensions of ceramic, porcelain, or stone tiles used in construction, renovation, and interior design. The size is usually given in millimeters and is a primary factor in layout, grout width, and the performance of a tiled surface. Common formats range from small mosaics around 10–20 cm on each side (for example 100x100 mm or 200x200 mm) to large formats such as 600x600 mm or larger; some manufacturers also offer long narrow formats like 300x900 mm. Tile thickness is typically specified separately from the size.
Tile size influences several practical aspects: larger tiles can create a sense of space and require fewer
Manufacturers provide standardized sizes, and many tiles are sold in rectified form to allow closer grout joints.
