LISS3
LISS3 is a satellite that stands for Land and Imagery Satellite System 3. It was developed by the Canadian company MDA (MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd.) and launched in 1998. LISS3 was designed to provide high-resolution optical imagery of the Earth's surface. The satellite carried a multispectral imager that captured data in several different wavelength bands, including visible and near-infrared. This allowed for the creation of various thematic maps and analyses.
The primary mission objectives of LISS3 were to support applications such as land cover mapping, agriculture
LISS3 was a successor to earlier LISS satellites, building upon the technologies and data acquisition capabilities.
