Külmkapist
Külmkapist is the Estonian word for refrigerator or fridge. It refers to a household appliance used for storing food at low temperatures to prevent spoilage. A typical külmkapist consists of an insulated compartment and a heat pump that transfers heat from the inside of the compartment to its external environment. This cooling system allows for the preservation of perishable items such as dairy products, meats, fruits, and vegetables, significantly extending their shelf life.
