Küllastuspunktiks

Küllastuspunktiks refers to the point of saturation. In a general sense, it is the maximum level or capacity that something can hold or achieve before it can accept no more. This concept is applicable across various fields, including chemistry, physics, and economics.

In chemistry, the term often relates to solutions. A saturated solution is one in which no more solute can be dissolved at a given temperature and pressure. The point at which no further dissolution occurs is the saturation point. Beyond this point, any added solute will remain undissolved or precipitate out.

In the context of materials science, küllastuspunktiks can describe the maximum amount of a substance that can be absorbed by another material, such as a sponge absorbing water or a desiccant absorbing moisture. Once the material reaches its saturation point, it can no longer absorb more of the substance.

Economically, the concept can be applied to markets. A market reaches its saturation point when demand for a particular product or service has been met, and further efforts to sell more yield diminishing returns. This can occur when most potential customers already own the product or when the market is oversupplied. The point of saturation signifies a plateau in growth or sales.
