Kõrgrõhualadega, also known as high-pressure areas or anticyclones, are atmospheric regions characterized by higher atmospheric pressure at the surface and in the lower atmosphere compared to their surrounding areas. These systems are typically associated with stable weather conditions. Air within a high-pressure system sinks, or subsides, from the upper atmosphere towards the surface. As this air sinks, it warms and dries, which inhibits cloud formation and precipitation. Consequently, areas under the influence of high pressure often experience clear skies, sunshine, and calm or light winds.
