Kétdimenziós

Kétdimenziós, which translates to "two-dimensional" in Hungarian, refers to objects or concepts that exist or are described within a plane, having only two dimensions of measurement, typically length and width. In geometry, a two-dimensional shape is one that can be drawn on a flat surface and possesses area but no volume. Examples include squares, circles, triangles, and all other polygons and curves. These shapes are fundamental to plane geometry and are studied extensively in mathematics.

In computer graphics and digital media, two-dimensional (2D) refers to images or displays that lack depth. This includes traditional drawings, paintings, and photographs, as well as digital images created using software. Characters in 2D animation, such as those in classic cartoons, move and are depicted within a flat visual space. The concept of two-dimensionality is crucial for understanding visual representations and for the creation of many forms of art and media. In contrast to three-dimensional (3D) representations, 2D does not incorporate depth perception or spatial volume.
