Käyttökiekkä is a Finnish term that translates to "user disk" or "application disk" in English. It refers to a storage medium, typically a floppy disk or CD-ROM, that contained software applications or operating system components necessary for a computer to function or run specific programs. In the early days of personal computing, these disks were crucial for installing software before the widespread adoption of hard drives and optical drives that could hold larger amounts of data.
