Käyttäjätarinoidensa (Finnish for "user stories") are a fundamental concept in software development and user experience design. They are short, simple descriptions of a feature told from the perspective of the person who desires the new capability, usually a user or customer of the software being developed. User stories are often written from the perspective of an end user or user of a system.

The purpose of a user story is to articulate how a piece of work will provide value to the customer. User stories are intended to facilitate communication between customers and developers, and to help define the scope of the project. They are typically written in a simple, non-technical language that can be understood by both the development team and the customer.

A user story is usually written in the following format: "As a [type of user], I want [some goal] so that [some reason]." For example, "As a busy professional, I want to be able to access my work documents from any device, so that I can work from anywhere at any time."

User stories are a key component of agile software development methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban. They help to ensure that the development team is always working on the most valuable features for the customer, and that the customer is always involved in the development process. User stories are also a useful tool for testing and quality assurance, as they provide a clear, user-focused perspective on the functionality of the software.
