Kvantteoorial, often translated as quantum theory, is a fundamental framework in physics that describes nature at the smallest scales of energy and matter. It revolutionized our understanding of the universe by introducing concepts that differ significantly from classical physics. At its core, quantum theory posits that energy, momentum, and other physical quantities are quantized, meaning they exist in discrete, indivisible units called quanta. This is in contrast to classical physics, where these quantities are assumed to be continuous.

One of the key principles of quantum theory is wave-particle duality. This suggests that subatomic particles, such as electrons and photons, can exhibit properties of both waves and particles. Depending on the experiment or observation, a quantum entity might behave as a localized particle or as a spread-out wave. Another crucial concept is superposition, which states that a quantum system can exist in multiple states simultaneously until it is measured. Upon measurement, the system collapses into one of these possible states.

Quantum entanglement is another mind-bending phenomenon where two or more particles become linked in such a way that they share the same fate, regardless of the distance separating them. Measuring a property of one entangled particle instantaneously influences the corresponding property of the other(s). These counterintuitive ideas have been experimentally verified and form the basis of many modern technologies, including lasers, transistors, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Quantum theory continues to be an active area of research, with ongoing efforts to unify it with general relativity to form a comprehensive theory of everything.
