Kunashir
Kunashir is an island located in the Sea of Okhotsk, part of the Kuril Islands archipelago. It is the southernmost of the disputed Kuril Islands, situated to the east of Hokkaido, Japan. The island is administered by Russia as part of the Sakhalin Oblast. Kunashir's geography is characterized by volcanic activity, with several active volcanoes including Tyatya, Rausu, and Mendeleev. The island is approximately 123 kilometers long and has a maximum width of about 30 kilometers. Its total area is around 1,490 square kilometers.
