Kuivaineline

Kuivaineline is a drying line or drying rack used to support items during the drying process in industrial, laboratory, and domestic environments. It is designed to maximize airflow around objects, promote uniform drying, and prevent deformation by keeping items separate.

Typical configurations consist of a horizontal rail, wire or rod frameworks, or a series of hooks or hangers. The line can be standalone, part of a drying cabinet or room, or integrated into a moving conveyor system. Materials commonly include stainless steel, aluminum, or treated wood, chosen for corrosion resistance and ease of cleaning. Some setups are manually operated, while others are motorized or motor-assisted, enabling timed or automated drying cycles.

Common applications include textile finishing and garment production, where fabrics or garments are hung to air dry after dyeing or washing; food processing or herb production, where products are laid out or hung to dry or cure; and laboratory or workshop settings, where glassware, plates, or sample carriers are dried after washing or processing. In homes, clotheslines and drying racks are simple forms of kuivaineline.

While the core idea is consistent, the term kuivaineline may be used variably in Finnish industry to refer to different kinds of drying rails, lines, or racks in different scales. It is related to drying cabinets, racks, and clotheslines.
