Kuituoptiseen is primarily used to optimize the extraction of juice from the grape skins, which contain valuable compounds responsible for the wine's flavor, color, and aroma. The process is typically conducted in a specialized vessel or tank, where the grape juice is cooled to a temperature below its freezing point and then partially thawed.
