Kromosomiyhdistelmiä refers to the combinations of chromosomes that are present in a cell or an organism. Humans typically have 23 pairs of chromosomes, for a total of 46. These chromosomes carry the genetic material that determines an individual's traits. Of these 23 pairs, 22 are autosomes, which are similar in both males and females, and one pair consists of sex chromosomes. In females, the sex chromosomes are typically two X chromosomes (XX), while in males, they are one X and one Y chromosome (XY).
