Kriittisimmissä

Kriittisimmissä is a Finnish rock band formed in 1994 in Helsinki. The band is known for their blend of alternative rock, post-punk, and indie rock, with a distinctive sound that has been compared to bands like The Cure, Interpol, and The Smiths. The group consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Jukka Nevalainen, guitarist and backing vocalist Janne Huttunen, bassist and backing vocalist Jukka Rantala, and drummer and backing vocalist Janne Kuusinen.

The band's debut album, "Kriittisimmissä", was released in 1996 and received critical acclaim for its raw and emotive sound. The album features songs like "Kun kuu on täydellinen" and "Kadonnut", which showcase the band's ability to craft powerful and introspective lyrics set to catchy melodies. The band's subsequent albums, "Kunnes kuolema erottaa" (1998) and "Kunnes kuolema erottaa" (2000), further solidified their reputation as one of Finland's most influential indie rock bands.

Kriittisimmissä is also known for their live performances, which are characterized by their high energy and emotional intensity. The band has toured extensively throughout Finland and Europe, and has shared the stage with numerous international acts, including The Cure, Interpol, and The Smiths.

In 2002, the band released their fourth album, "Kunnes kuolema erottaa", which marked a departure from their previous sound, incorporating elements of electronic music and ambient noise. The album received mixed reviews, but it was followed by "Kunnes kuolema erottaa" (2004), which returned the band to their signature sound.

Throughout their career, Kriittisimmissä has released several compilation albums and EPs, as well as a live album, "Kunnes kuolema erottaa" (2006). The band has also released a number of singles and music videos, further expanding their fanbase and cementing their status as a key figure in the Finnish indie rock scene.
