Kreikkalaiskatoliset
Kreikkalaiskatoliset refers to members of the Eastern Catholic Churches in Finland. These churches are in full communion with the Pope and the Catholic Church in Rome, but they retain their own distinct liturgical, theological, and spiritual traditions, often rooted in Byzantine or Eastern Orthodox practices. In Finland, the largest Eastern Catholic community is the Greek Catholic Church, which uses the Byzantine Rite.
Historically, Eastern Catholicism emerged during periods of schism and reunion between the Eastern and Western branches
The presence of kreikkalaiskatoliset in Finland is relatively small compared to the country's majority Lutheran population.
