Koormusallikaid

Koormusallikaid are devices or arrangements that impose electrical load on a source, such as power supplies, batteries or the electrical grid. They are used to represent, simulate, or provide consumption in electrical systems and testing setups.

Koormusallikaid can be classified in several ways. By electrical behavior, they may be resistive (pure real power), reactive (inductive or capacitive), or nonlinear. By control strategy, they include constant impedance loads, constant current loads, and constant power loads. They can be static (time-invariant) or dynamic (varying with time). They can also be passive or active, with active loads able to adjust their power draw.

In practice, koormusallikaid are employed as load banks to test generators, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and power electronics, for modelling demand in grid studies, in building energy simulations, and in laboratory experiments to characterize equipment performance or system response.

When modeling and measuring, the behavior of koormusallikaid affects voltage and current levels, power factor, and harmonic content. Accurate representation of these loads in simulations and tests is important for reliable design, operation, and planning of electrical systems. The term is used in Estonian technical literature and engineering documentation to refer to sources of load or devices that impose load on a power system.
