Konsulatach

Konsulatach are official offices of a state in a foreign country tasked with safeguarding the interests of its citizens and facilitating relations in civil, economic, and cultural matters. They are typically headed by a consul and may be organized as a Consulate General, a consulate, or a vice-consulate.

Functions include visa and passport services, assistance to nationals in distress, civil status acts (births, marriages, and deaths), notarial and authentication services, protection of persons and property, and support for business, tourism, and cultural exchange. Consulates may issue travel documents and certificates of origin and liaise with local authorities on legal and administrative matters.
