Konsideruan

Konsideruan is a formal deliberation practice described in fictional cultures and some role-playing game settings. It denotes inclusive, structured discussion intended to produce well-considered, legitimate decisions through weighing diverse viewpoints.

The term comes from a constructed Konari language, combining kon- 'together' and sider- 'to consider'.

A konsideruan session typically features a moderator, a scribe, and timekeepers. A topic is presented, statements are heard in turn, viewpoints are recorded, and arguments are weighed before a decision or recommendation is proposed. Often decisions aim for consensus rather than simple majority, though formal outcomes may be recorded if consensus is unattainable.

In fiction, konsideruan is associated with civic institutions, councils, and educational settings; it is used to resolve policy questions, disputes, and ethical dilemmas. It is valued for transparency and legitimacy, but can be criticized for slowing action and reinforcing hierarchy if procedural rules are weak.

Variants appear across cultures in the envisioned world, with some communities codifying the procedure in a Code of Konsideruan and others using flexible, ritualized formats.
