Koncertkulturen refers to the social practices, norms, and institutions surrounding live musical performances within a society. It encompasses the venues where performances take place, the audiences who attend, the performers and organizers who produce the events, and the broader networks of media, critics, and sponsors that shape taste and access. The term is used in Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish contexts to describe both local scenes — such as club venues, concert halls, and festival sites — and the global circuits of touring acts.

Historically, concert culture has shifted from courtly and church music to public concert spaces, and later to mass entertainment and festival formats. Key elements include venue design and acoustics, programming and genre conventions, audience etiquette, and the economics of ticketing and promotion.
