Komunikáty

Komunikáty are the basic units of communication discussed in Slavic linguistic and information-theoretic literature. A komunikát is a discrete item of information transmitted from a sender to a receiver through a channel, encoded according to a code such as a natural language, a computer protocol, or a signaling system. In this sense, komunikáty include utterances, messages, signals, and digital packets.

In communication theory, a komunikát is analyzed with elements such as the sender, the encoding, the content of the message, the channel, potential noise, the decoding process, and feedback. The effectiveness of a komunikát depends on factors like redundancy, coding, alignment between the sender’s intent and the receiver’s interpretation, and the reliability of the transmission path.

Classification of komunikáty can be by modality (spoken, written, digital, nonverbal), by content (semantic versus pragmatic layers), by intention (intended versus unintended), or by scope (local versus broadcast). In practice, the term is used across disciplines to describe the transferable unit of meaning or information.

contexts and fields: In linguistics and semiotics, komunikáty are studied to understand how meaning is transmitted and interpreted within codes and contexts. In information technology, they correspond to messages or packets exchanged between systems; in biology, signals between organisms may be described as komunikáty.
