Kompozitetë

Kompozitetë are materials made from two or more constituent materials with significantly different physical or chemical properties which remain separate and distinct at the macroscopic or microscopic level within the finished structure. The purpose of creating a composite material is to produce a material with characteristics different from those of the individual components. Often, one constituent is a matrix that surrounds and binds together another constituent, which is referred to as reinforcement. The reinforcement is usually in the form of fibers, particles, or flakes. Common examples of composite materials include reinforced concrete, fiberglass, and carbon fiber reinforced polymers. These materials are widely used in industries such as aerospace, automotive, construction, and marine due to their desirable properties like high strength-to-weight ratio, stiffness, and resistance to corrosion. The properties of a composite material are dependent on the properties of its constituent materials, their proportions, and their arrangement. Research and development in composite materials continue to focus on improving performance, reducing cost, and developing more sustainable and environmentally friendly options.
