Komponenttiliitokset refers to the connections between electronic components on a printed circuit board (PCB). These connections are essential for the proper functioning of any electronic device, as they allow signals and power to flow between different parts of the circuit.

The most common type of component connection is made through solder joints. When components are assembled onto a PCB, their leads are inserted through holes or placed on pads, and then solder is melted to create a strong electrical and mechanical bond. The quality of these solder joints is critical; poorly formed joints can lead to intermittent connections or complete circuit failure. Factors such as solder temperature, time, and the cleanliness of the surfaces being soldered all influence the quality of the joint.

Another method of connecting components, particularly for surface-mount devices (SMD), is through reflow soldering. In this process, solder paste is applied to the pads on the PCB, components are placed onto the paste, and then the entire assembly is passed through a reflow oven. The heat of the oven melts the solder paste, forming the connections.

In addition to solder, some components may be connected using conductive epoxies or mechanical connectors, although these are less common for standard PCB assemblies. The design of component connections involves careful consideration of electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, heat dissipation, and resistance to environmental factors like vibration and humidity. The layout and routing of these connections on the PCB also play a significant role in signal integrity and overall circuit performance.
