Klienskiszolgáló

Klienskiszolgáló, often translated as client-server, is a fundamental distributed computing model. In this architecture, tasks or workloads are partitioned between providers of a resource or service, called servers, and service requesters, called clients. This model is widely used in applications such as web browsing, email, and file sharing.

A client initiates a request for a service or data, and a server responds by fulfilling that request. The server typically holds the resources and processes the requests from multiple clients. Clients, on the other hand, are responsible for presenting the information to the user and interacting with the server. This separation of roles allows for efficient resource management and scalability. For example, in a web application, the web browser acts as the client, requesting web pages from a web server. The web server processes the request and sends the requested data back to the client for display.

The client-server model offers several advantages, including centralized control, easier maintenance, and improved security since data is managed on the server. However, it can also lead to bottlenecks if the server becomes overloaded with requests. Network performance is also a critical factor, as communication latency between clients and servers can impact the overall user experience. Despite potential challenges, the client-server model remains a cornerstone of modern computing.
