Kifogásolt

Kifogásolt is the past tense, or past participle, form of the Hungarian verb kifogásol, which means “to excuse,” “to offer an excuse,” or “to justify.” It is used to indicate that someone has made an excuse for an action or situation. For example, a speaker might say, “A tanár kifogásolt a tanulók késését,” meaning “The teacher excused the students’ lateness.”
