Kieferbetts
Kieferbetts refers to a German surname that gained prominence in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The most notable bearer of the name was Paul Kieferbetts (1845–1917), an industrial engineer and entrepreneur from Bavaria. After completing an apprenticeship with a local machine shop, Paul established the Kieferbetts Mechanical Works in 1878 in the town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The company specialized in the production of precision mechanical components for the burgeoning railway industry, including couplings, ball bearings, and gear assemblies.
