Keskipakolevittimiä

Keskipakolevittimiä, known in English as centrifugal blowers or centrifugal fans, are mechanical devices that impart kinetic energy to a fluid, typically air, by rotating an impeller. This kinetic energy is then converted into potential energy, resulting in increased pressure. The core components include a housing, an impeller with vanes, and a motor that drives the impeller. As the impeller spins, air is drawn into the center (eye) of the impeller and flung outwards by centrifugal force. The housing is designed to collect this outward-moving air and direct it towards the outlet, simultaneously slowing the air down and increasing its static pressure.

These blowers are characterized by their ability to produce high-pressure airflow, making them suitable for applications where resistance to airflow is present. The volume of air moved and the pressure generated depend on the size of the blower, the speed of the impeller, and the design of the impeller vanes. There are various impeller designs, including forward-curved, backward-curved, and radial vanes, each offering different performance characteristics in terms of efficiency, noise levels, and pressure-flow curves.
