Keskiarvolähde

Keskiarvolähde, meaning "average source" in Finnish, is a conceptual term used to describe a data point or measurement that is derived from averaging multiple individual readings or observations. The purpose of using a keskiarvolähde is to reduce the impact of random errors or fluctuations that are inherent in individual measurements. By averaging, a more stable and representative value is obtained, which is often closer to the true underlying value of the quantity being measured.

In various fields, such as science, engineering, and statistics, data is frequently collected through repeated measurements. Each individual measurement might vary slightly due to factors like instrument precision, environmental conditions, or the inherent variability of the process.
