Kerámiabhabok is a Hungarian term that translates to "ceramic bubbles" or "ceramic foams." This designation refers to a class of porous ceramic materials characterized by a cellular structure, typically containing a high volume fraction of gas-filled voids or cells. These structures can range from open-cell foams, where the pores are interconnected, to closed-cell foams, where the pores are isolated.

The manufacturing of kerámiabhabok often involves processes that create gas within a ceramic slurry, which then solidifies into a foamed structure. Common methods include the direct foaming of ceramic slurries using blowing agents, or impregnating a pre-formed ceramic foam precursor with a liquid and then firing it. The composition of kerámiabhabok can vary widely, utilizing different ceramic powders such as alumina, zirconia, silicon carbide, or mullite, depending on the desired properties and application.
