Kering

Kering SA is a French multinational holding company specializing in luxury goods. Headquartered in Paris, it operates as a parent company owning and managing a portfolio of luxury fashion brands and other businesses. Kering is listed on Euronext Paris and is a constituent of the CAC 40.

Founded in 1963 by François Pinault as Pinault-Printemps-Redoute, the group expanded from retail into luxury goods in the 1990s with the acquisition of the Gucci Group in 1999. The company adopted the name Kering in 2013 as part of a shift toward luxury and brand management.

Major brands in the Kering portfolio include Gucci, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta and Alexander McQueen; the group also owns or operates other fashion, leather goods, jewelry and watches brands, and, historically, has engaged in various brand partnerships.

Governance is anchored by the Pinault family through Artémis, with François-Henri Pinault serving as chairman and chief executive officer.
