Kenttäbusverkot
Kenttäbusverkot, often translated as fieldbus networks, are industrial communication systems designed for real-time control applications. They provide a standardized way for sensors, actuators, and control devices to communicate with each other and with higher-level control systems, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or distributed control systems (DCS). Unlike traditional point-to-point wiring, fieldbuses use a serial bus architecture, reducing the amount of cabling required and simplifying installation and maintenance. This serial communication allows multiple devices to share the same physical cable, leading to significant cost savings in wiring and labor.
The primary goal of fieldbus technology is to bring digital communication capabilities closer to the field
